Why does my 5mo old kitten lick my face all night?

I have a 5 month old cat and a 3 month old cat the 5 month old wakes us up and keeps us up all night long licking our lips kneading our skin and purring loud I am afraid he will teach the younger kitten this bad habit why does he do it and how do we break him of this Habit?
