What is a good CBA topic for me to write about?

I am a sopre in high school, and we are required to write a CBA (Clroom Based essment) for our last project of the year in my history cl. The requirements are that you have to pick a topic that happened later than the 1500's (although I'm looking for something more 1900's) that is between anyone but just the USA. (Basically, it's gotta be a international topic.) Then, you have to identify the causes of this conflict, and compare them to a modern-day conflict. What I need is a good conflict (keep in mind, it doesn't have to be a war, but it can be) and how it compares to something going on in the modern times. Thank you so much!!!
