Cud the fact that he grew up here ?

Ok so what do you think it would be like to marry someone who grew up in the bronx , in a bad neighbourhood. He has travelled and is an only child his mom adores him and dotes on him. Hes smart and doesnt have a thug mentality but I wonder because he grew up there will I be dealing with it on some level? pls dont tell me im generalising this is my life and I just want opinions
