Possible to use a dial up modem built into laptop as a phone?

i know you can listen to phones with a dialup modem, you just set up a dialup connection for a number instead of a dialup number and hook up a phone cord, but you cant talk. is there software that you can use to use your modem as a phone, kinda like skype but not voip, i want it through my actual home phone line. it wont mess up my internet because my internet isn't dialup its something else now idk so my modem is useless now.
