My ipod nano G4 is damaged, please help?

after unknowingly putting my ipod in my pocket, I put my pants in the washing machine and was able to remember my ipod was in my pocket after 3 minutes my pants has been put to the washing machine. Whenever I try opening my ipod, my ipod doesn't open. Is there a chance my ipod will work again? thank you, and infos are definitely appreciated!
