I have this problem.........?

Last year i noticed small light colored spots on my ribcage and on my back....I asked a nurse and she said that they were probably sunspots and that they would always be there....do you have any idea how I could either get rid of them or cover them up....I tan and swim alot...so i need something that is waterproof....
